My scroll saw is bolted to a three legged wooden stand with a thick piece of carpet between the base of the saw and the 2 inch thick wood platform. No complaints. When I first got into this I came across a website article that promoted mounting the SS in a box filled with sand to dampen/diminish vibration.

I did look at Wikipedia which showed the cross-section and described how the compressor works. Apparently the impeller does not rotate, but it is driven by an eccentric bearing from a rotating shaft. I'm sure you could apply ISO 10816-8 for vibration severity and apply conventional vibration analysis and diagnostics for the bearings and motor. Walt
